iCORDER
Privacy policy ยท updated September 30, 2026
Short version: iCorder shows you your phone's sensors and keeps everything on your phone. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is a bug report, and only if you choose to send one.
What the app reads
With your permission, iCorder reads the motion sensors, barometer, location, microphone, cameras and LiDAR, Bluetooth, and your heart rate from Apple Health. It turns those readings into the numbers and graphs on screen, as they happen. None of it is recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. When you leave the app, it stops reading.
Face data
The face instrument uses the TrueDepth camera through Apple's ARKit to measure face position and expressions (for example, how much you are smiling or blinking). This data is used only to draw the face instrument on your screen in real time. It is never stored, never sent off your phone, never shared with anyone, and never used for identification, advertising or any other purpose.
Health data
If you allow it, iCorder reads your recent heart-rate samples from Apple Health to show them on screen. It never writes to Health, never stores or transmits Health data, and never uses it for advertising or shares it with anyone.
Microphone and cameras
Sound is turned into a level and a frequency spectrum on the fly; no audio is recorded. Camera and LiDAR frames are turned into depth, light and position readings on the fly; no images or video are saved.
Location and Bluetooth
Your location is shown on screen and on the map (drawn by Apple Maps). Nearby Bluetooth devices are shown by name and signal strength. Neither is stored or sent anywhere by iCorder.
Bug reports
If you tap the bug button and send a report, iCorder sends what you typed, the name you entered (optional), your phone model, iOS version, the app version, and a short technical snapshot (for example, which permissions are on and whether tracking is working). It does not include your location, face, health, audio or camera data. Reports are stored in Google Firebase and used only to fix the app. A random identifier lets the app tell you when your report has been fixed. To have a report deleted, email mattgrosso+icorder@gmail.com.
Children
iCorder does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
